Carry collection routes for farmer clusters

Farmer clusters gather smallholders' produce at one hub. Somebody has to bring it in. That can be you.

What you can do today

Open a transporter account and record your vehicle: its type, plate and how much it carries. A cluster manager — an aggregator, an extension officer, a buyer or a programme partner — gives you the cluster's code, you ask to join, and they approve you.

From then on the manager can give you collection routes: a day, the farms to collect from in order, the load, and the hub at the end. You mark the route as out collecting and back at the hub. Each load is still weighed at the hub's scale, so what the farmer is paid on is never your estimate or theirs.

What is not built yet

Payment for trips. The platform records the route, not a rate. You agree your fee with the cluster directly, as you do now.

Tracking. Nothing follows the vehicle on the road; the route moves when you mark it.

An open board of loads. Routes come from the clusters you belong to. There is no marketplace where any haulier can bid for any load.

If you carry produce for a share of the sale

That is an aggregator, not a transporter: a certified role that takes custody of growers' crops and is paid a commission on what they fetch. It needs full verification, because you are paid out of other people's proceeds.

Where the hubs are

Every route ends at a collection hub on the delivery network. Questions about joining a particular cluster go to its manager; anything else, get in touch.
