For farmers and cooperatives

Get paid for what the scale says

Book a delivery, take it to a hub, and walk away with a warehouse receipt in your name — something you can sell, or borrow against.

What actually happens

  1. 1 Register and verify your phoneA phone number is enough to open an account. A six-digit code arrives by WhatsApp or SMS, whichever you chose.
  2. 2 Prove who you areA national ID and a selfie. A compliance officer reviews it, and until that is approved you can look around but not book a delivery.
  3. 3 Register your landWhere the plot is, how big it is, what is planted and when you expect to harvest. Communal, resettlement and leasehold tenure are all catered for — a title deed is not assumed.
  4. 4 Book a deliverySay what you are bringing, roughly how much, and to which hub. You get a short reference to read out at the gate.
  5. 5 Take it to the hubThe agent finds your booking by that reference, weighs the load and grades it there and then. You see both numbers.
  6. 6 Collect the receiptA warehouse receipt is issued from the grading by itself. Nobody has to request it, and it is yours — you can list it for sale or pledge it against a loan.
  7. 7 Sell, and get paidWhen a buyer accepts, the receipt moves to them and the money moves to you in the same step, net of the fee.

Both weights are kept. Always.

What you declared when you booked, and what the scale read when you arrived, are stored side by side and neither replaces the other. You are paid on the scale reading, and the gap between the two is what settles an argument later.

If an agent records the wrong figure it can be corrected — but never quietly. Every correction keeps the old number, the new one, who made it and a written reason, for good.

What verification unlocks

Three tiers, and you only need the one that matches what you are doing. Nobody is asked for a bank account to look at prices.

KYC tiers and what each one allows
TierWhat you provideWhat it opens
None A phone numberLooking at prices, and registering
Basic National ID and a selfieBooking deliveries, the marketplace, forward contracts and smaller trades
Full Proof of address and payout account detailsUnlimited trading, subsidy access, and pledging a receipt as loan collateral

Completing Basic verification also issues you a SADC Trade Identity, which means no repeat verification at other institutions on the same network.

You do not need a smartphone

Verification codes arrive by WhatsApp or SMS, and you choose which when you register. If the one you picked cannot deliver, the code goes by the other and the screen tells you which carried it — so you are never left watching the wrong app.

What it costs

Registering, booking a delivery, being weighed and being graded cost nothing. A fee is charged only when a trade settles, out of the proceeds: 2.5% all-in on grains and 3.5% on horticulture and livestock. The full rate card is on the home page.

Start with a phone number

You need an ID and a selfie before you can book a delivery. Everything up to that point takes a minute.
